Results of the 1st edition of the Gdańsk Film Fund Competition
A total of 18 projects were entered into the competition. All underwent a three-stage evaluation: formal, expert (artistic and economic) and strategic.
Artistic evaluation was carried out by Anna Różalska (film producer), Agnieszka Smoczyńska (director of, among others, The Lure and The Silent Twins), Grzegorz Wacławek (producer and director of animated films), Jerzy Armata (film critic), Paweł Łoziński (feature film and documentary director) and Michał Marczak (director of, among others, All These Sleepless Nights).
Economic evaluation was carried out by experts Zofia Jaroszuk and Anna Pachnicka (film producers).
Strategic evaluation, in line with the objectives of the Gdańsk Film Fund, was carried out by the GFF Programme Board: Paweł Orłowski – chairman, representing the Mayor of Gdańsk; Magdalena Renk-Grabowska – representing the Mayor of Gdańsk; Agnieszka Owczarczak – representing the Gdańsk City Council; Aleksandra Szymańska – representing the Operator/City Culture Institute; Magdalena Sroka – representing the film community; Professor Marcin Adamczak – representing the film community; Professor Krzysztof Kornacki – representing the local film community, and Beata Dunajewska – representing the Gdańsk City Council.
